Update the Broadcasting
1. Current Groups
Create New Groups – make 5 new groups with a council name or shortened acronym, and activate (receiving and sending).

Delete old Groups - x on right

Instructions
- Go: Current Groups > Create New Group
- Group Name: Create 5 seperate groups ( no # in front)
- Use a logical council name or abbreviation
- Group Description: url or leave blank
- Group Private: tick for all except Universal Group eg. #mnz waikato nzl
- Remove old groups by clicking on red cross last on right. Refresh screen to show new results.
- Switch on (green) 'Send out' (dart) and 'Receiving' (note icon) new council groups.
2. Set Receiving Pages
Change sub headings - COUNCIL NAME MEDIA RELEASES, NEWS ITEMS & EVENTS
Change receiving Rules and check Advanced Broadcasting
News & Events – #mnz collected news events nzl / #mzn waikato news events nzl (Search ON)
Stories – #mzn waikato stories nzl (Search ON)
Home – #mzn waikato home page nzl
Newcomers To Branch Name – #newcomers event nzl+waikato. (You might need to find the Newcomers Group and activate to receive.)
Instructions
On each of the 4 pages - News & Events, Stories, Home, Newcomers / Go: edit
- Change the council name heading in subtitle in main content. Save
- Go: Receive In
Broadcast On/Off: Tick Receiving IN: on (note icon to go green)
- Go: To Advanced Broadcasting

- Broadcast Search: Turn on but NOT FOR Home Page

- Go: View Your Groups. Scroll find related group. Select. Make Rule
Newcomers To Your Town page
- Go: Broadcast Tools > Receiving IN > To Advanced Broadcasting
- Search in View Your Groups: Newcomers
- Search In: Group Name > Refresh Groups List

- select envelope icon > Join Group > Reason: Multicultural site wanting to receive Newcomers events
- Request Permission
- Back to Current Groups > Search Groups
- Search For Groups: Newcomers
- Search In: Group Name > Refresh Groups List

3. Posting Pages (Index Pages)
Change all Rules to new Groups, e.g.

In Index Pages, check order in Add-on Modules. Unimodule/Event should be at the top
Instructions
- Go: Posting Pages
- For each page Go:
- Edit: Uni-Module or Events - Index (red text on right)
- Module Index/Broadcast Pages
- Change the rules for the two region names to your new region. eg

#mnz uhm stories nzl
Cut and paste the 'Broadcast Page' Rules into Create Tool Tip and update the date.

- Repeat until all posting pages are done.
4. Posting Page - /Posting
Cut and paste links from Posting Pages to Posting Page.
Instructions
Find the 'Posting' page / Edit
Go: Top Content
Go through all the links and change to the updated posting page/create a post url - you should only need to copy across the main links (Access previous posts, in RMC sites) should be unchanged.
Select create a post in the red on right to harvest the link.
- eg: /Media-Releases/create+page?index=86390
- /News/create+page?index=86392
Check all links.
5. Subscribed Rules
Tick 'Subscribed' and search for Cultural Calendar.
If the website is in a different region, unsubscribe the region and find the correct region.
Instructions
- Go: Broadcast Tools > Subscribed Rules > Search Rules
- Search For Rules: Cultural
- Filter Type: TICK Subscribed
- Locate REGION Rule. If different from the council's region, remove it.
- Click minus to switch off Rules
- Use plus and minus on left NOT Rubbish Bin
- If replacing a REGION Rule, Go back to > Search Rules
- Search For Rules: Cultural
- FilterType: TICK Available
- Refresh Group List (green Button)
- Find your region then click it on
- Use plus and minus on left NOT Rubbish Bin
6. Created Rules
This sets the manual broadcast options after a post is made.
The Created Rules need to change from the replicated website and the new Rules will only stick if the new Rules have been made - step 1.
Instructions
- Go: Created Rules
- For each panel Go:
- Edit: Uni-Module or Events - Index (red text on right)
- Change Rule, e.g. #mnz wgtn stories nzl
- Change Rule Name, e.g WELLINGTON MULTICULTURAL Stories
- Enter New Category, e.g. WELLINGTON MULTICULTURAL Website NZL
Save Rule
Repeat the same for the remaining panels, except you can now select the new category in the Existing Category dropdown.
Check the following pages:
Meeting Reports pages: Turn on custom panel 1 and Uni-Module
Private Event page: Turn on custom panel 1 and Event Module
